Against Her Will has finally made it on Amazon KDP. The book has been five years in the making, in one form or another. I'm finally satisfied it's as good as I can get it without professional help, which sadly I can't afford on my budget.
My wife who is an avid reader and lover of books too, has been kind enough to read through it and help with the final draft. What we thought would take a few weeks, eventually took twelve months and lots of sweat and hard work.
It's not perfect but we think it's as good as anything elase out there. Hopefully if enough people buy it, I'll invest the money in getting it published professionally.
That said, I really believe in the story, and have had good feedback on it, so fingers crossed it'll do well.
It's tale of a beautiful woman, and her struggles with with life. When she's brutally raped, her life spirals out of control, and she ends up rock bottom in a mental hospital after a failed suicide attempt.
A second suicide attempt on the hospital roof is foiled by a male nurse who she later befriends.
Slowly, she recovers and finds love, only to discover the man she loves may not be all he seems. And this discovery might ultimately cost her, her life.
It's for sale in the UK at £1.02, but for two days only on the 6th & 7th July, you can get a copy for free.
Hopefully this will help readers discover the book, and maybe spread the word. Fingers crossed, this book will give me the breakthrough I need.
I've used a pen name Peter Martin for luck. Perhaps he will help me turn the tide.
Best wishes Martin
